NOTE: There are two half-day BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Workshops to choose from.
A second session has been added to accommodate the demand. Please sign up for the timeslot that best suits your schedule.
Images, gifs and video rule the web today! A 2012 study showed that posts with relevant images garnered 94% more views than posts without images. More recent studies show similar stats for engagement on Facebook and other social media.
During this workshop we'll look at a wide range of resources for finding quality images and tools for creating images, posters, flyers and more. Some examples of the tools this workshop may cover include Canva, Haiku Deck, and Periscope.
BRING YOUR COMPUTER and/or other devices! This is a very hands-on workshop. You'll have time to explore a range of tools that are of interest to you and meet the needs of your library community.
Presenter: Polly-Alida Farrington is a consultant and the owner of PA Farrington Associates, with nearly 20 years of experience providing technology related training, web project development and consulting services to libraries, library systems and schools.
Are the two sessions the same?
Yup. The initial session was so popular that we needed to add a second session.
Did I need to take the first class in March, "Social Media and Marketing"?
Nope. These two classes can be taken independently of one another.
