Event description
The Duluth NAACP Young Adult Committee's quarterly social for young adults* interested in social justice.

About this Event

The Duluth NAACP Young Adult Committee's quarterly social is partnering with some dope organizations to make this an amazing event for young adults* who are interested in social justice! We're switching things up this time and hosting a full day of activities at the YMCA's Camp Miller. For $5, we can provide buses and lunch!

The event will be at the YMCA's Camp Miller. The bus pick-up location will be in Duluth at 10AM and you will be back at the pick-up location by 5PM. Lunch will be provided for all guests. Although childcare will not be provided, you are welcome to bring your children, just be sure to register everyone in your group.

Partnering organizations include:

  • Duluth Branch NAACP
  • Blackbird Revolt
  • HOTDISH Militia
  • UMD Office of Diversity & Inclusion
  • AFSCME Council 5
  • Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial, Inc.
  • Planned Parenthood
  • CSS Office of Diversity & Inclusion
  • CHUM
  • Mentor Duluth

with more to come!! Contact youngadult@duluthnaacp.org if you're interested in partnering with us!

The event is only $5, registration is required! It also includes swag (while supplies last), giveaways, and lunch catered by YMCA! Children are welcome, however, no childcare will be provided. Please be sure to register everyone in your group.

We hope to see you there to network with the social justice-based organizations in Duluth.

*If you are not in the age range in which out Young Adult Committee is tasked with supporting (ages 21 – 40 years old) and would like to join in on the fun, awesome! We just ask that you make and hold intentional space to honor this group of individuals whose voice is typically left out of social justice work in hopes to connect them with social justice-centred individuals and organizations here in Duluth. This might look like waiting to get swag until the end of the program to ensure these individuals have had the first opportunity. Note: There are a number of other opportunities to connect with the Duluth Branch NAACP and our partners, so please follow and like our pages to stay up to date.
