Description

In what ways do your identities impact your perspectives and those of the young people you work with? How does your work fit into larger social justice and inclusion efforts? Through interactive learning and skill-building, we will explore ways to infuse empathy and a commitment to social justice into youth programming as we pursue a more just and inclusive world.

Takeaways:

  • Envision and explore your work within a larger social justice framework.
  • Explore the role of personal and professional identity to increase self-awareness and identify areas for continued personal and professional growth.
  • Practice communication tools to enhance empathy, increase understanding, transform conflict, and promote leadership within youth programs.

Recommended for: Any/all in youth development.
