Too Good To Go is a smartphone app that connects customers and food vendors to reduce food waste, one meal at a time. Download the app and order a meal from food vendors near you. Head off to collect your food in the designated time window. Show your personal receipt, grab your food to go and enjoy!
We have partnered with 20 food vendors in Greenwich Village area to test our app in New York.
Too Good To Go is a working solution in Europe, with more than 700,000 users across 6 countries. Many meals have already been diverted from landfills, but it is only the beginning.
Waste For Good is on a mission to reduce waste sent to landfills or oceans and use it for something good, specifically for the local community. Their pilot initiative, E-to-E, Eateries-to-Energy, will divert NYC restaurant food scraps from landfills into community energy hubs where containerized anaerobic digesters will convert the food scraps into heat and electricity.
The team came together at the Social Innovation Hack with the common goal of building a social enterprise that uses environmental pollutants to address a global issue, having dual impact at the core of their vision. For more information or to join the revolution, contact Sweta Govani.
