Social Good Summit Lagos 2021

The Lagos Summit is a platform that connects innovators, change-makers, SDG leaders and advocates from corporations, non-profits, government, universities, industry bodies, social enterprises to unanimously discuss ideas, share stories and inspire others to take actions towards the SDGs in Lagos and Nigeria at large.

This year’s summit will explore discourses, conversations and ideas around the theme RE: CLOSING THE GAPS. This is on the backdrop of the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on countries and individuals. Evidence has shown that previous progress made on the SDGs are gradually being lost. It is estimated that we could see a staggering 251 million people driven into extreme poverty by the pandemic. In Nigeria, the reality is not any different as the country is still dealing with the effect of the pandemic on economic livelihoods and social interactions.

Therefore, we need to act now in closing the gaps which have been reopened or expanded by the pandemic
