AAU Innovation is proud to host its second seminar on Social Entrepreneurship on September 19th.

In a post modern world, the arena of social entrepreneurship is already a valuable substitute to other forms of entrepreneurship, e.g. technology, digitalization and business model entrepreneurship. Using the forces of the market to create a better world through entrepreneurship as at the heart of social entrepreneurship - no matter whether you are into new venture creation, revitalization of existing organisations or creating business growth through entrepreneurship.

AAU Innovation has pooled its ressources with those of the rest of the university to offer a programme of theory and practice of social entrepreneurship and the seminar will be completed with an Industry Collider where participants are encouraged to meet people from industry.

By signing up for and participating in the "Social Entrepreneurship #two" event, we collect and process the following personal information about you:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Education including the faculty
  • Current position (PhD / Postdoc, Student, External, Researcher / Teacher)
  • Pictures from the event

We do this to document your participation in the event, which is co-organized by the two projects Open Entrepreneurship and Science for Society. Your personal information is processed on a regular basis and stored for ongoing contact regarding follow-up, evaluation and marketing of other similar events. An update of stored data takes place annually. You can at any time get information about what information we have stored about you and you can always contact us to have your information updated or deleted.

Since we are required to document PhDs’ and Postdocs' participation in the "Social Entrepreneurship #two" event to EU Interreg, which co-finances Science for Society, we will still keep PhDs’ and Postdocs' information about name, email and education status. Other information you can always contact us to get updated or deleted.

For other participants, we do not share your information with anyone who is not a part of Aalborg University and we do not register any information other than those mentioned above.

The legal basis for collecting, processing and storing your personal data is that processing is necessary for you to participate in "Social Entrepreneurship #two", in accordance with the nature of the General Data Protection Regulations article 6(1) (e) and in the case of PhDs/Postdocs that AAU can document this to EU Interreg.

Consent to use information for the marketing of Open Entrepreneurship and Science for Society
In addition, we would like to keep you posted on our events and workshops, and we would like to send evaluations to you after your participation in our events and workshops to make them even better. We would also like to take pictures during the event, including close-ups, and use them in our marketing material, including flyers, and on our website.

On the registration page we therefore ask you to give your consent that AAU may:

  • Contact you by E-mail with similar events, workshops and evaluations.
  • Process your information in order to contact you by E-mail with similar events, workshops and evaluations
  • Apply close-up pictures of you taken during the event for the promotion of Open Entrepreneurship and Science for Society.

It is optional if you wish to give your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting SEA via It is possible to participate in the event without giving consent. In this case, we will only process information about you for the purpose of documentation of your participation as mentioned above and we will only use situational images where you appear.

Unless you request to have your personal information deleted, we will process them continuously until the end of 2021, when the Open Entrepreneurship project, co-organizer of this event, expires. For PhD / Postdocs, unless you request to have your personal information deleted, we will process them continuously until the end of 2022, when the co-organizer of the event, Science for Society’s documentation requirements to the EU Interreg expires. If you consent to receive e-mails containing similar events and workshops, you will receive them until you withdraw your consent.

On the registration page, please confirm that you have read the above and have been informed about the processing of your personal data, cf. article 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The processing of your information, including when stored in our registry, is administered by Aalborg University in accordance with the University's Privacy Policy.
