Sharing Treatment and Autism Resources

School-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) often have difficulty with initiating and maintaining conversations and considering the perspectives of communication partners. In this presentation, Dr. Greenslade will explore some of these challenges and provide treatment strategies to improve social communication in everyday interactions.

Presenter:

Kathryn Greenslade, PhD, CCC-SLP

Dr. Greenslade is a postdoctoral fellow at the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Center for Autism and Related Disorders. Before completing her doctorate at the University of Washington, she worked as a speech-language pathologist in private practice, where she regularly led social skills groups for preschoolers through adolescents. Her research interests focus on social communication assessment and treatment in children with ASD.
