Social: Branch Out Happy Hour
Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 6:00 PM (ADT)
Our first Branch Out Happy Hour of spring is taking us to Busboys & Poets, a local favorite located in the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. We will be joined by our frends at the DowntownDC BID who are making a concentrated effort to get businesses to commit to smart sustainable practices through their DC Smarter Business Challenge. As you enter Busboys & Poets, be sure to check out two important works of public art installed by the D.C. Commission on Arts & Humanities - a monumental pavilion-like sculpture by David Black and an urban and contemporary sculpture along the 5th Street side of the building by Ethan Kerber. Once inside, make your way to the Cullen Room, named after poet and playwright Countee Cullen, were we can mix and mingle the night away. Not able to join us in April? Mark Tuesday, May 14th on your calendar. Branch Out Happy Hours take place the second Tuesday of every month at a unique and fun venue around the Washington, D.C. area. Specials Stay tuned. Who Should Attend You! Whether you are a proud Citizen Forester, one-time volunteer or just looking to meet new people or learn more about Casey Trees, we would love for you to join us.
