The Social Action Committee of Nassau Alumnae Chapter proudly presents our Social Action Luncheon on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00pm. Our keynote speaker is Jennifer Jones Austin, CEO and Executive Director of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA), an anti-poverty, policy and advocacy organization with 170 member human services agencies operating throughout New York City. As CEO of FPWA, she leads poverty-fighting, policy and advocacy efforts to strengthen and empower the disenfranchised and marginalized communities. 
 
Come and enjoy lunch and hear the words of our keynote speaker, discuss our theme: "Encouraged to Make History: We Run the World." The goal of the day is to galvanize the African American female vote and how we can leverage our voting power.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Since its founding more than 200,000 women have joined the organization. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Programmatic Thrust.

Nassau Alumnae is a local chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated focusing on transforming lives and impacting the Nassau community through dynamic programming.
