Organizer
SoCal ASTA
Founded in 1935, SoCalASTA is the largest domestic chapter of the American Society of Travel Agents.
The chapter’s geographic territory includes Kern, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties in California, and Clark County in Southern Nevada.
SoCalASTA is undoubtedly the most active of ASTA’s chapters and currently meets regularily. Meetings and special events are included on the chapter’s website.
SoCalASTA was a founding member of the California Coalition of Travel Organizations (CCTO) and appoints two members to the CCTO board. Chapter members participate in an annual California Legislative Day in Sacramento including visits with their local elected officials.
SoCalASTA is managed by an elected Executive Board including the president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. A number of non-voting committee co-chairs help organize and implement the programs and activities of the chapter. We are very grateful to our volunteers.
Vision: To build a strong network of travel professionals in Southern California.
Mission: To enhance the professionalism and profitability of our members.
Priorities: Protect, Provide, Promote, and Preserve travel agents and our relationship with allied suppliers.
