"was helpful as it gave us an expectation of what to expect and prepare for. It got us thinking about different questions and opportunties that we would not have thought about ourselves"
“packed workshop really showcasing the breadth of overseas work from working with children with special needs in school environments, work in clinics/ hospitals, with refugees and survivors of major disasters”
” lots of case discussion in multi- disciplinary groups to enhance learning and background information on cultural competency, suitable equipment/ materials (e.g. APT- Appropriate Paper Based Technology)”
“opportunities to network and meet people who had worked in countries I have worked in and people who are planning to go to these places. Loads of contacts were exchanged and support given!”
“a very international, supportive and energetic group of AHPs”
