Description

The second in the DGG Fashion Business Workshops 12-month series is, "So You Want To Start a Business: Writing a Business Plan." A sound business plan is crucial for a company's planning and success. They are also a must if you are looking for funding. The business plan can always evolve and improve, so even if you have a business plan in place, we invite you to learn how to make it better.

The workshop from 6-8 p.m. (feel free to bring your dinner!) on Tuesday, December 20 at TechTown will be led by Business Planning Expert Jennyfer Crawford, and will cover:

    • The first steps for creating a business plan draft

    • Marketing, finance, legal, regulatory issues, operations, information-based planning and management within the business plan

    • Live examples of effective business plans

    • Information on how to increase chances for self-employment success

With more than 10 years of project management and business planning experience Jennyfer Crawford developed a business of consulting and event planning. As an entrepreneur who built her own successful business right from her one bedroom apartment, she provides services such as branding, public relations, & marketing for small businesses at an affordable cost. A major aspect of her company is the small business showcase All Things Detroit that she holds 3 times a year which helps small businesses, showcase products or services, gain revenue, build brand awareness, and promotes togetherness for the small business community.

Her clients range from small start up companies with just an idea to mid-size businesses looking to gain more customers. Crawford’s journey is featured in motivational book Please Pardon my Dust: I’m Under Construction by author Monica Sholar. She’s also been nominated for 2016 Crain’s Top 40 under 40. All of her hard work and dedication to help entrepreneurs is what makes her the best at what she does.
