So pick any options now for better rates!

Carpools: This is a Provide Your Own Transportation event. If you need a ride or if you can provide a ride, please visit the SCWDC Meetup event page and leave a comment. The trip leader cannot arrange carpools for participants.
This is the perfect opportunity to use the Snowshoe season pass you bought last spring. Join SCWDC for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding in wild, wonderful West Virginia. And WVA is getting great snow, with Snowshoe open across their trails!
Directions from DC: Take I-66 West to I-81 South. Travel to Exit 296, which is State Route 55 West. Travel on 55 West through Moorefield, WV to Petersburg, WV. At Petersburg you will pick up 28/55 and stay on south 28 for 32 miles… picking up 28/92 South toward Greenbank, WV. Just south of Greenbank turn right onto State Route 66 West. There will be signage for Snowshoe and Cass Scenic Railroad. Continue through the town of Cass making a sharp turn over the bridge and follow 66 West to the first Snowshoe Drive turn on the right unless road conditions are not clear. Continue on Rt. 66 to the second right turn for Snowshoe Drive.
GPS Coordinates: Using GPS / Navigation Systems (satellite): Because of the rural location, GPS units are not always the most reliable source for turn-by-turn directions. Some of the roads in the area are not properly mapped. Snowshoe suggests inputting longitude and latitude coordinates, rather than using a street address. Here are some of the coordinates for popular locations on the mountain:
Mountaintop Check-In: 38.4018 North - 79.9936 West
Village Center: 38.4119 North - 79.9963 West
Please always double check your directions with a reliable map. NOTE: It's West Virgina, up and down valley terrain (good for keeping nice snow conditions) so universal cell service is not always the best at times; on-site, AT&T works pretty well, Verizon not so much. Keep that in mind when trying to contact friends/ the Group leader.
