COST: $80.00

Join us as we take an adventure through a beautiful winter wonderland with a fun group of members and friends. A snowshoe is footwear for walking over the snow. Snowshoes work by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that the person's foot does not sink completely into the snow, a quality called "flotation". We have selected a pristine location for a winter hike that you won't forget. Your day will begin at Columbus Circle where our van and your guide will pick you up. From there it is off to a beautiful nature preserve about 60 minutes north of NYC for a 2 hour journey through a snow covered forest. Following our hike we will go for pizza. You will be back in NYC no later than 4pm.

$80 includes:

-Snow Shoe rental

-Hiking fees

-Round trip transportation to and from NYC return to NYC by 4pm

-Package includes the van rental. If you are driving there yourself please contact dave@newyorksocialnetwork for pricing.

Difficulty level: Beginners welcome but you should be able to hike through a 2 mile nature preserve. There are 2 inclines that would have the difficulty level of climbing 8 flights of stairs each. This trek would have a difficulty level of 5 out of 10. You should be in fairly good physical condition.

Can I come alone? Yes 99% of those attending will be coming on their own.

What to wear: We recommend- hiking shoes or winter boots, thermals, gloves, snow pants if you have them.

Trip is snow or shine. Tickets are non-refundable unless the trip is canceled due to dangerous conditions. If there is no snow you will be given the option to attend at a different location where there may be the right conditions.

Bring bottled water!
