Weekend Theme: Work Hard, Play Hard, Rest Easy
Each of us knows what working hard feels like. We work hard for our paychecks. We are challenged to keep up with all that fills our news feeds- trends, politics, family celebrations, and friends life changes. Where we sometimes sacrifice, because we are so mentally taxed is to let our bodies show us what they are capable of.
Play is something that instantly comes with a mental picture of a child, but play is healthy for all of us. To be adventurous, to laugh, to experiment, to dance like no one is watching- these are experiences that should not be saved just for the young.
Rest can be the first thing to go when our stress levels go up. We worry ourselves through the night. We are so busy avoiding FOMO that we barely have time to sleep once we have gotten through the list. Finding time to be list free and rest full is not a luxury, it is a necessity from time to time.
This snow-filled weekend retreat in the Colorado mountains will provide opportunity to work, play and rest. We will work our bodies through yoga sequences and guided snow-shoe hikes outside. We will also work our spirit as we dive into journal activities, and even the opportunity to create a meditation mala. We will play and laugh inside of our yoga practices and the community we build together. We will enjoy the great outdoors and I suspect there will be a snow angel or two, perhaps even some snowshoe relay races. We will also have plenty of downtime to explore the nearby area or gather for a game of charades. And finally, we will rest. You work hard most of the time. After a full day of play, ample relaxation time is mandatory. From a guided Yoga Nidra (which means yogic sleep) to kick the weekend off, to quiet morning hours, and time in the hot tubs, you will leave the weekend feeling rejuvenated.

What if I work til 5p on Friday?
You can absolutely join the retreat. With less than a 2-hour drive from the city, you will make it in time to grab a plate for dinner, wine with a new friend, and a soak in the hot tub before our yoga nidra offering at 915p.
Do I need to have yoga experience?
Absolutely not. All levels are invited and encouraged. Christen will offer opportunities for all no matter what your level.
What if the weather is bad?
Weather is tricky in Colorado, but this event is rain or shine, and snow or sleet. We will make the best of it. If it is not great weather, we will likely hot tub more, read more, and burn our adrenals less. Please be mindful of road conditions for traveling.
