The journey to activating your data starts with your 1st party data. This is typically the transnational, customer data collected from your websites, in-store and offline systems (like CRM) and mobile apps.1st party data is data you collect, either actively or passively, from consumers that interact with your company, it’s also valuable because it’s almost immediately available and technically ‘free’ – even if it is largely siloed and poorly connected.

Mark Langgin is a partner with GPSIMPACT in Des Moines, IA (formerly Groundswell Public Strategies), and leads the digital media buying team. Also a founding partner at Pinpoint Digital.

He has lead the company's digital media buying operation, with an emphasis on data driven email acquisition/fundraising and using cutting edge programmatic media platforms to reach voters across screens for numerous campaigns across the country.
