Of all the year-end, holiday gatherings out there, the Social Media Club Louisville's on Wednesday, December 15 will be an important one for your calendars. Not only are we celebrating the end of our second full year of existence and collecting toys for local homeless shelters, but our December meeting will feature some very important announcements about the future of SMC Louisville and an open discussion with you about it.
Who should come? Anyone with a stake in the interest of the digital economy in Louisville and Southern Indiana. That means developers, programmers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, marketers, public relations professionals, intereactive/digital agency types, community leaders and more. We intend to unveil some new plans, as well as ask you to contribute your ideas to further defining those plans, that will position SMC Louisville as a more important and impactful organization in our community.
We kinda view this like Election Day. We want all of you there to have a voice in the future of our organization. Please plan on coming.
The December Gathering of the Social Media Club Louisville will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. ET at Papa John's Corporate Headquarters at 2002 Papa John's Boulevard, off of Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville. The event is sponsored by Verizon Wireless which will have new models on hand to review. Hors D'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. We will network a bit before our discussion. At the conclusion of our items of business and feedback from you, we will continue our holiday celebration by gathering at nearby Havana Rumba (12003 Shelbyville Road, Suite 108) for after event drinks and networking.
The event is free and open to the public, but we are asking that everyone bring a new toy or new article of children's clothing to serve as admission as part of the National Holiday Tweet Drive to deliver holiday cheer and gifts to less fortunate children. All items will be donated to a local charity or shelter that serves children's needs. Campbellsville University students are helping coordinate our contribution to the national effort, which features 19 cities around the U.S.
Please RSVP using the form here for the event at Papa John's Corporate Headquarters and plan to join us for an interesting and exciting evening of news, information, planning and celebration.
