Do you know your Sex ID?
After an incredibly successful Hooking Up Healthy Intensive, Dr. Zhana and Kenneth Play are back in action to bring you the Smarter Sex Project, an 8-part comprehensive training designed help you make informed decisions about your sex life. Each part is designed to cover a different aspect of sexuality, from negotiating consent to navigating the dating market. Having sifted through thousands of peer-reviewed studies, Dr. Zhana provides the #legitsexscience to help you make sense of your sexuality, and Kenneth teaches the practical application, giving you tips to create the sex life you want.
LELO is sponsoring this event and we'll be raffling off some toys and condoms!
The first key element in building the sex life you want is figuring who you are sexually. Our sexual selves are much more complex than the limited options our culture provides for us. From kink to tantra to nonmonogamy, this training will give you a broader outlook on the possibilities of your sexual palate. This will help you validate and deepen your understanding of your sexual self and possibly discover hidden desires you didn’t know you had.
The first part of the series will cover your Sex ID: finding your authentic sexual desires and orientations, discovering your values, and finding a way to align them with your desires. Better yet, you’ll explore your Sex ID in the presence of a supportive community of other like-minded individuals who will be there to compare notes and provide encouragement.
Using lectures, group discussions, and small group activities, you’ll be able to answer the following crucial questions:
How much sex do I want? With how many people?
Who do I want to have sex with?
What kinds of sex do I want to have? Curious about?
What kind of sex do I think is appropriate?
Do my desires align with my values?
We live in a world with endless sexual possibilities. Let’s explore which ones work for you!
Doors Open at 11:30am
Working Lunch: 2-3pm (provided by us!)
This event will be hosted at the sex-positive intentional community, Hacienda Villa, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Address will be given upon reservation of ticket.
This is not a partnered event, so singles are welcome. EACH PERSON MUST PURCHASE A TICKET. In the spirit of accessibility and inclusivity, all tickets are reserved on a “pay what you can” basis. There are costs associated with producing this Intensive, and we want to use the money to produce a really awesome, high-quality event, so if you have the means, please contribute what you can. We want inclusive, comprehensive sex education to be accessible to everybody who could benefit and don’t want cost to be a barrier to such invaluable information, but we appreciate any financial assistance in helping us bring this event to life. Suggested donation is $47.
Additionally, two volunteers are needed to help event preparation and cleanup (approximately one hour before doors open and up to one hour after event). Please email email@example.com if you’d like to help us out!
Consent and safety:
This is a clothes-on education event for discussion only. Self-care and consent are of the utmost importance, and none of the exercises are mandatory. Dr. Zhana and Kenneth will be there to support you in providing a safer space for you to participate.
See you there!
