MAKE IT A TRANSIT ADVENTURE | Capital Metro and Smart Trips Austin invite you for a day of literature exploration with a free Transit Day Pass -- so you can attend AABF with ease.

1:00 PM | Austin African-American Book Festival brings together and facilitates collaboration, dialogue, creativity and activism. Connect with published and emerging authors in your local community on Saturday, June 22nd at the George Washington Carver Library and Museum. Under the theme MAKING GOOD ON THE PROMISE OF ECONOMIC FREEDOM, the festival will highlight Black economic opportunity from the late 19th Century to those present-day millionaires who include celebrities, entrepreneurs and regular hard-working people. The event is free and open to the public.

Capital Metro hosts the program to provide transit training in a risk-free, low-stakes environment for groups of 10 - 40 people and can organize a team-building trip for FREE for your office, neighborhood group, organization, church or school using our transit services.
