About this event
Our homes are reflections of us. Safe places where we are connected to what matters most. Like us, they require care, attention, and new solutions to be at their very best.
It’s time for a safer, more sustainable approach to living. Join us for the Smart Home Innovation for the 50+ Pitch Event and witness promising solutions from AgeTech entrepreneurs that allow older adults to continue living in more connected and convenient ways.
Hear exciting ideas from six cutting-edge startups with one shared goal: to enable older adults to live more active, independent and safer lives while retaining a healthy connection to their community. At the end of the event, one lucky start-up will receive $10,000 to support their venture.
You’ll hear clever ideas from:
- Ome on their smart knobs for stoves that ensure cooking isn’t a safety hazard
- imp on their service that stops telephone fraudsters and unwanted callers from preying on vulnerable older adults
- Wave Therapeutics on their dynamic cushions for wheelchairs and beds that reduce painful and deadly sores for sedentary older adults
- SenterCare on their smart proprietary sensors that learn a resident’s normal ADL behavior patterns and trigger preventive health notifications and emergency alerts
- Livindi on their connected home system that keeps older adults, loved ones, and care teams in touch with continuous monitoring along with a friendly and engaging family hub
- Labrador Systems on their assistive robot that retrieves and carries items around the home as an ‘extra set of hands’ so that older adults who have chronic pain or mobility issues can continue doing activities they enjoy on their own
