Event description

Description

Are you interested in riding, but could use a little more information to help boost your confidence?

It's that time of year again for May is Bike Month! To get you ready for all the fun rides and events happening in May, we're hosting two introductory Smart Cycling classes for new and returning riders. Smart Cycling classes will give you hands on experience on bike safety and build your confidence to ride in a comfortable, low-stress community setting.

PeaceHealth Rides bikes will also be available for free use during the events. Staff will be available to explain how to use bike share, help you signup for a FREE month, and give you firsthand experience to demo the bikes.

Space is limited so RSVP for this free event today to hold your spot:

• Smart Cycling Lunch and Learn- May 1 from 12-1 pm at Claim 52 Kitchen. Interactive classroom style presentation and discussion on using bike share and safe riding techniques. Lunch will be included for the first 20 people to register.

• Smart Cycling Social Ride- May 6 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Claim 52 Kitchen. Short hands on presentations followed by a group ride to practice safe riding techniques through city streets. The ride will last approximately an hour. Following the ride, attendees are invited to network with other riders and enjoy one complimentary beverage after the ride.

A special thanks to the City of Eugene, Business Commute Challenge, and PeaceHealth Rides for sponsoring these free events.
