Event description

Description

In “Small Victories,” written by Julia Turshen, the process of truly great home cooking is demystified in more than a hundred lessons called small victories; Turshen learned these by cooking thousands of meals in her lifetime. The result is a book full of simple, achievable recipes that emphasize bold-flavored, honest food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.

Learn three of these triumphs with Julia herself at Milk Street Cooking School. In this demonstration class, Turshen will make her Caesar salad, roasted scallion and chive dip (served with potato chips, of course) and turkey and ricotta meatballs. You’ll be able to sample each dish and ask Turshen questions and to sign your copy of “Small Victories.”

Julia Turshen is a writer, go-to recipe developer, and co-author for best-selling cook books such as Gwyneth Paltrow’s It’s All Good, Mario Batali’s Spain...on the Road Again, and Dana Cowin’s Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen.
