Black and green thumbs - and everyone somewhere in between - unite! Grow the food you want where you want. Whether you have a sprawling yard, a courtyard, a balcony or even a sunny window, we'll help you have it flourishing with an abundant crop of organic produce in no time.
This workshop will teach you the skills you need to design, set up and maintain your own organic small space garden regardless of space or experience. You'll learn how to create and maintain healthy organic soil, understand the needs of plants, and how to work them into a space together to create a productive edible garden.
Suitable for: All ages. Beginner to intermediate gardeners.
Provided: Tea, coffee, detailed notes and a planted seedling to take home and kickstart your garden.
Please bring: Paper, pen, hat + gloves.
Our teacher: Adrian Baiada is an urban farmer, consultant and educator with a background in environmental sustainability, permaculture and biological agriculture. He founded My Square Metre to get people growing food and connecting with nature through establishing edible gardens, environmental education and garden training, and is a board member of Pocket City Farms.
