Description

An on-farm workshop for those interested in starting a sustainable farm!

This program will demonstrate what can be produced on a small amount of land through planning and use of available resources. James Helms and Sharon Ray of Carolina Bay Farms will discuss raising and marketing of poultry and pork on pasture on a small sustainable scale. There will be a short classroom discussion in the farm's warehouse, followed by an intensive walk and talk in animal facilities and organic vegetable facilities.
