Success with Small Group Guided Reading is a highly engaging workshop designed for teachers to teach the components of the research based model of instruction (SGGR). At the end of the workshop, teachers will be able to use the strategies for teaching proficient readers and effectively implement the small group guided reading model into their literacy instruction. The focus of this workshop will be: routine of SGGR, management, comprehension strategies, questioning, using leveled text, and differentiation. 




What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 8:30 am and registration will be from 8:30-8:55 am. The workshop will begin promptly at 9:00 am.

What time is lunch?

Lunch will be on your own from 11:30 - 12:45. 

What are my parking options at the workshop?

The regional service center provides parking free of charge.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can choose to either print your ticket and bring it to the registration table, or provide your e-ticket on your mobile device.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are not available. We can however, transfer your ticket to another workshop of your choice if space is available.

The Literacy Partners

The Literacy Partners provide professional development to equip teachers with the tools for success in both reading and writing. The workshops provided will be facilitated by literacy specialists with an extensive background and a track record of success. Their experiences include both teaching literacy in an elementary school setting and developing pre-service teachers at the university level and current practicing teachers. We are excited to partner with both teachers and administrators with their literacy needs!
