About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours
  • Ages 12+

The goal is to share skills to teach about tools and how to use them -- sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, learn about these hand tools and small engines. As the bolts come off see what is inside these small vertical gasoline engines. Disassembly will be as complete as possible, extracting all the components inside, (e.g. piston, piston rod, crankshaft, Magneto, Valves, Cam, Carburetor). A opportunity to learn about all the engine parts, and how it works together to create power. Each team will go home with the tool kit as part of the class.

Come and join us.

Frequently asked questions

Will you get dirty.

The engines are old, drained of oil and gas tank removed. So yes handling these engine parts, sure you might get dirty. There will be gloves to keep the dirt to a minimum with plenty of rags and hand cleaner available.
