Introduction & Details
The OZ program provides opportunities for private investors to support investments in distressed communities through participation in Qualified Opportunity Funds (QOF). This session helps you understand how Opportunity Funds factor into the OZ program.

Understanding How to Participate in Capital Gains
Investors can defer paying federal taxes on capital gains reinvested in QOFs that invest in low-income communities, under rules released by the U.S. Dept. of Treasury. This session helps you understand how you can benefit from the capital gains incentives in the OZ program.

While the QOZ program provides incentives for investors, the program presents challenges and opportunities for contractors. This session helps you understand the rules contractors and how can add value to client projects and prevent QOZ projects from failing to qualify for the program.
