About the Presenters:
Joyce provides live instruction for Division employees in business taxes, personal taxes, and is our resident Excel expert. She also creates and edits teaching materials and handouts for public events. She maintains our student database which tracks course and learning progression for all our employees. She is an invaluable member of our team and is always willing to take on any project, big or small. Joyce began her career with the Division as a Call Center Agent in 2006 and then worked with the E-Mail Response Unit before joining the Education & Outreach Unit. She is a graduate of Trenton State College, now The College of New Jersey. Prior to joining the Division of Taxation, Joyce was a teacher and elementary school principal. Joyce’s experience has placed her in the Division’s Education and Outreach Unit where she can focus on educating the public to a better understanding of New Jersey’s Tax Laws. Joyce enjoys traveling and decorative painting.
Tylar began working for the Division in 2014 in the Customer Service call center. She’s been trained in all tax types, both business and personal, as well as all property tax relief programs administered by the Division. After volunteering for our adjunct program, Tylar helped the team develop a Customer Service Skills course which took the Division by storm. Tylar’s skills and eagerness to share knowledge led her to a permanent position with Taxation University. Tylar enjoys reading books and is currently working on one of her own.
