Europe's leading startup event Slush is calling for Dutch startups!
Together with B.Amsterdam, PwC and Dutch Basecamp, Slush is organizing a warmup Pitching Competition in Amsterdam. The event is held on Thursday, October 27th at B.Amsterdam, one of the most vibrant startup hubs, starting at 6 pm. During the evening, ten of the best Dutch startups compete to win two tickets to Slush 2016 as well as free two-way flights to Helsinki on Nov 30–Dec 1. This year, Slush is expected to gather over 15,000 attendees, 2,000 startups, 1,000 investors and 700 journalists to the two-day tech conference in Helsinki.
We are now looking for companies from all fields in Seed and Series A phase. Whether you’re focusing on fintech, media or fashion tech – or something totally different – you’re more than welcome to apply! We’ll select the ten finalists to pitch in front of the jury based on applications. For investors, media and tech enthusiasts: The evening will be a showcase into the Dutch startup scene and a great chance to get to know the Slush community.

Ton van 't Noordende, Keadyn Ventures
Ton van ’t Noordende is Venture Partner at Keadyn, an early stage venture investment company providing hands-on operational involvement via it’s network of experts. Kaedyn invests solely in tech-based startups. Ton has been at both sides of the table, having sold his adtech startup and influencer marketing platform spreadthebrand.com early 2014.
Ton has worked for leading global brands like Samsung, Sony Mobile, Saatchi & Saatchi.
Marc Wullings, Dutch Basecamp
Mark is founder of Skip Red, a consulting firm specialised in Go-to-Market strategy and execution. In this role, he has helped dozens of companies scale to internationally and to establish foreign subsidiaries. Marc also leads Dutchbasecamp, a non-profit organisation that supports Dutch startups to go abroad and foreign startups that want to set foot in Holland. Dutchbasecamp is part of the Dutch Startup ecosystem and works closely with the Dutch governmental and regional initiatives. Finally, Marc is actively participating/investing in a number of startups that are related to health and wellbeing, some of them from Finland.
Earlier, Marc spent 13 years in various sales and sales management positions at Oracle, mostly dealing with large corporate clients. He also worked for various other pre-IPO software and SaaS firms in his career. Marc holds a Masters Degree in Service Marketing from Karlstad University and earned an MBA at Webster University Leiden. In his free time, Marc enjoys cycling and speed skating, tries to keep his golf handicap reasonable and hopes to improve his sub-par cooking skills.
Ilja Linnemeijer, PwC
Ilja is an Audit Partner and leads the PwC Dutch Startup and Scale-up Group. He works predominantly in the international technology, media and telecom sectors. He has more than 15 years of experience in helping fast-growing startup and scale-up companies grow their business and help achieve their ambitions through a practical and pragmatic approach.
Floris van Alkemade, Partner at henQ, Investor in B2B SaaS startups
Floris has 19 years of experience from investing in 60+ seed and early stage IT and telecoms companies in Western Europe and the US. He has co-founded and co-managed 3 VC funds with EUR 320M committed capital. as well as some startups. Previously, Floris worked in Telecomms, Consulting and Investment Banking.
Jaakko Rauhala, Slush
Jaakko has the heart and mind of an entrepreneur and he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Jaakko has been part of Slush for two years and is an active member in the startup ecosystem within the local universities and around Helsinki. Prior to his position as Head of Startup Operations at Slush, Jaakko did a stint in the corporate world within the Finnish energy industry. His aim is to help startups find their hidden potential on their road to become legendary.
