The 1818 ACC Program at Saint Louis University invites all area high school religion and theology teachers to the Psychology Professional Development Day on Tuesday, January 27, 2017 from 11:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Saint Louis University's Busch Student Center Room 254 located on the campus of Saint Louis University.

 


Agenda/Topics

11:30 am - 11:45 am: Registration and Coffee
11:45 am - 12:00 pm: Welcome, Introductions and Workshop Goals
12:00 pm - 12:30 pm: Lunch

12:30 pm - 2:15 pm:

Adding Zest to General Psychology with Cultural and Social Diversity

Dr. Janet Kuebli, Associate Professor of Psychology at Saint Louis University

2:15 pm - 2:30 pm: Break

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm:

Diverse Perspectives: The W.E.I.R.D. Psychology of Aging

Dr. Lisa Willoughby, Associate Professor of Psychology at Saint Louis University

3:30 pm - 4:15 pm: Open Discussion & Exercise Exhange 

Participants are asked to bring copies to share  of an effective exercise, demonstration, writing assignment, or project for General Psychology.  Although desirable, the focus need not be related to teaching about Cultural & Social Diversity.

4:15 pm: Dismissal

Complimentary parking available at the University's Laclede Parking Garage (3642 Laclede Avenue, St Louis 63103) at the corner of Grand and Laclede.

Your parking will be validated at the event.

SLU 1818 ACC Program

The Stand-Out Program for Outstanding High School Students

The 1818 Advanced College Credit Program at Saint Louis University provides an opportunity for qualified high school juniors and seniors in partner high schools to begin experiencing the academic rigors of college course work while still in high school.

In addition to receiving credit toward high school graduation for selected academic courses, students may opt additionally to dual enroll in courses approved for college credit through Saint Louis University.
