Witness the induction of the Arlington Heights Duffer of the Year, and enjoy a day on the course with friends and colleagues. Golfers will tee off to support recreational programs for children and adults with disabilities. Grilled lunch, dinner and drinks are included along with 18 holes on the beautiful Arlington Lakes Golf Course. All proceeds will support Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF), the fundraising arm of Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) and the Rotary Club of Mt. Prospect/Arlington Heights. The Rotary Club of Mt. Prospect/Arlington Heights is an organization of business and professional leaders working to promote humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and international understanding and peace. NWSRA provides recreational programs so that children and adults with disabilities have the opportunity to have fun, make friends, be included, go new places, learn new things and celebrate their lives. In 1981, Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF), a 501(c)(3) organization, was formed to provide additional funding needed to maintain quality services and facilitate future growth for Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). The mission statement of SLSF is “We exist to support and promote outstanding opportunities through recreation for children and adults with disabilities in cooperation with Northwest Special Recreation Association.
SLSF supports NWSRA programs and services utilizing funds raised through fundraising events, business partnerships, grants and individual donations. SLSF provides funding toward programs, inclusion, scholarships, athletics and accessible transportation.
