A new worker-owned brewery will combine two great American ideals: democracy, and owning your own business.
Slow Money Boston is pleased to introduce you to James Razsa and Jason Taggart of Democracy Brewing. Come by on March 8th to join them for a beer and learn about the current Direct Public Offer (DPO) - an opportunity to get in on the ground floor.
Democracy will open a brewery and pub committed to making great beer and supporting the community. They plan to open their doors in 2017 with the mission to re-create the traditional "public house", and brew the best beer in Boston.
1 Demonstrate that a successful business can be a democratically governed, worker-owned, and union-represented.
2 Build community in the neighborhood and the greater Boston area by hosting community organizations, fundraisers, engaging in community service, and promoting arts and culture through film screenings, live music and other events.
3 Dedicate a percentage of profits to support and promote democratic businesses through education, outreach and organizing.
