Those of us who suffer from sleep difficulties are more susceptible to a range of significant health conditions including diabetes, obesity, cancer, early onset Alzheimer’s Disease, stroke, chronic heart disease, higher blood pressure, depression, and other mental illness.

The cost of sleep deprivation on our health reaches out beyond ourselves and our families into wider society. As a result, the World Sleep Society set up World Sleep Day as a global event to help us all understand and prevent sleep difficulties.

This year, World Sleep Day falls on Friday 16th March so what better day to tackle your sleep issues…!

If you are tired of being over-tired and want to wake up feeling rested, with a sense of well-being, then you'll benefit from this very practical Sleep & Well-being Workshop. During the four-hour workshop, we'll look at your own particular challenges & difficulties and help you discover restorative sleep.

As a qualified Insomnia Practitioner, I’ll show you science- based approaches & techniques to sleep which are being used as alternatives to medication or to reduce dependence on drugs.

Working with two expert instructors and teachers with many years' experience (Maria Anderson, Wild Nest and Louise M. Watson), you'll learn easy practical breathing & relaxation exercises you can use at home or anywhere you need.

Breathing and relaxation exercises are proven treatments for chronic insomniacs in sleep clinics across the world. Research studies have shown that even after a few weeks of practice, our brain structure actually changes making it more resistant to stress and more receptive to sleep.

Eating Your Way To Sleep

Between sessions, we’ll be stopping for lunch when you'll try out delicious, easy-to-prepare food that shows how diet and nutrition can help with getting you to sleep and staying asleep. In some cases, deficiencies in minerals & vitamins can cause sleep difficulties – ensuring you’re absorbing the right levels will help establish good sleeping patterns.

  • Lunch - delicious food selected to show you how you can eat your way to good sleep

  • Practical workbook which you'll use on your own sleep recovery journey

  • An especially formulated sleep & calming spray with essential oils selected for their powerful sedative qualities, to be used for sleep preparation and night-time waking

  • A selection of sleep-inducing food & drink products

  • Information about breathing and meditation instruction with Maria and Louise, and other special relaxation practitioners

  • You'll go home equipped with specific knowledge and confidence that you can use straight away. Together we’ll help you create the optimal sleep conditions to support your body and maintain good mental and emotional health.


As a participant, you can book a 30- minute follow-up consultation (phone or digital meeting platform) to discuss progress and to address any areas of additional support for a special offer of £15 (normally £25)

What time should I arrive?

Registration starts from 9.45 am with refreshments. We start at 10 am promptly.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This course is suitable for those aged 15 and upwards. Future events for families and younger children will be held later in the year. 1:1 support is available for younger children & families – please ring 07713 929 529 or message via the Essential Sleep Company contact page

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is parking available on Avenue Close by the Infant School gates.

Liphook is served by South West Train station (a 20 - 25 minute walk).

Liphook also has buses which serve a broad area – the nearest stop is by the Post Office on Headley Road (5 minutes walk)

Liphook is just off the A3 (B2131 ) 7 miles north from Petersfield , 17 miles south of Guildford, and under 5 miles from Haslemere.
