SLCC presents the Odd Ball.
Join Tuna Oddfellow (Fish Fishman) and his beautiful assistant Shava Suntzu (Shava Nerad) for a night of trippy illusions and visual ecstasy as they present the mixed reality version of their famous Odd Ball to SLCC. In real life, Fish and Shava are creating a company around what they believe is Second Life's most promising export -- a visual presentation that changes brain activity, and produces relaxation and euphoria through pure visual stimulation.
Bring your laptop or your dancing shoes and watch Tuna Oddfellow's typist present the show on two laptops -- and get a peek at the "man behind the curtain" of the Odd Ball -- while Shava flies her space navigator through layers of hallucination projected on the giant ballroom screen. All to the spinning tunes of three amazing DJs, from 8pm till after midnight!
In 2007, NBC came into Second Life looking for our world’s most talented avatar — and found Tuna Oddfellow, magician Fish Fishman IRL. That summer, Tuna appeared in avatar form on two episodes of NBC’s hit show, America’s Got Talent.
Since then, he’s only gotten better.
Dancoyote Antonelli (renowned artist DC Spensley IRL) says: “a mighty spectacle!”, “hypnotic!” Bettina Tizzy says: “People like Tuna Oddfellow and Shava Suntzu who make creations such as this one… are truly transforming the future. In a very short while, the [real] world will be coming in [Second Life] to see the new world you have forged… You are our sherpas… YOU are leading the world by the nose. Creative GIANTS, you are!”
Others say: “I haven’t had this kind of sensory overload since I saw the Blue Man Group.” “This is Timothy Leary’s afterlife.” “Who knew enlightenment could be this entertaining?” — and more.
For more info on the Odd Ball, come to the in-world show at 11am SLT Sunday or 7pm SLT Monday at http://slurl.com/secondlife/research%20center/128/140/652, or check out their company web site at http://oddfellowstudios.com . and check our SLCC blog for more information at http://www.slconvention.org/evening-events/1357/
