Description

Tailor Cooperative is pleased to be hosting the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll:

The Salt Lake Gallery Stroll is committed to bringing the value of visual art to the forefront of Salt Lake City’s cultural identity. By gathering galleries and other businesses to promote visual art, we strive to stimulate interest and investment in an ever-growing local visual art community through this FREE public event.

Join us on the 3rd Friday of each month (except in December when it's on the 1st Friday). Galleries are open after hours for the public to meet artists and browse the exciting and thriving visual arts market in Salt Lake City. Some sponsors offer special discounts and rates for those who participate in Gallery Stroll.

For our June Stroll, we're proud to present the work of Morgan Cowley. Morgan is a Salt Lake City artist whose practice focuses on geometry intermingled with plant life, done through a meditative and careful sense of composition. While using glass panels as a base, she paints large and small-scale works that explore her fascination with the way plants continuously adapt to their surroundings. This ultimately creates an obscured window to the artist's mind. As an artist and person with a focus on conservation, Morgan is currently focusing on painting plants that are under threat according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and donating her proceeds to this cause.
