Description
The SKYWARN® Flood course provides a more in depth training of flooding hazards and the role of spotters during these events. The course is intended for all levels of expertise. We also require you to be at least 14 years of age. Topics to be covered include:

Types of flooding (river, areal, flash and coastal)

Forecasting and meteorology of flooding

Review of flooding cases

NWS products for flooding

Role of spotters in flooding events
This SKYWARN® Spotter Class is offered free of charge from the combined efforts of your local National Weather Service Forecast Office and the Loudoun County Office of Emergency Management. A National Weather Service meteorologist will teach the class and bring related materials.
Registration is required to attend the class!
