Event Details

3D Basecamp 2014 is sold out.

We've capped the waitlist at 30, and that's full now, too. We just don't have enough space to accommodate any more people—we're very sorry. Thanks for your interest in joining us, and we hope to see you in 2016.

Welcome to the Event Registration Page for SketchUp 3D Basecamp 2014.

Please visit the 3D Basecamp 2014 website for complete information about the event.

Here are some shortcuts to different areas on the site:

And here are some registration-related FAQs:

How many people are you expecting to attend?

We're shooting for a total of about 300 people, including 60 members of the SketchUp and other Trimble teams. The hotel has room for more, and we'd love to have a bigger crowd, but space is definitely limited. If you really want to come, be sure to sign up early.

How much does 3D Basecamp cost?

$200. That covers the cost of the sessions and activities, a party, a dinner, two breakfasts, three lunches and swag.

I'm a total beginner when it comes to SketchUp. Should I come to Basecamp?

Absolutely! Unlike at the last couple of Basecamps, we're planning to offer Beginner Training for SketchUp neophytes. This will be hands-on, bring-your-laptop, don't-leave-till-you've-got-it stuff. If you've been waiting for an incredible way to combine finally learning SketchUp with a Colorado ski vacation, here's your chance.

Will this event be for SketchUp Pro or SketchUp Make?

Both. The ideal mix of SketchUp users is one where architects, set designers, woodworkers, construction managers, students, robot builders, archeologists, and engineers all get together to share what they know. We hope to feature everything from creating construction drawings in SketchUp Pro to using SketchUp Make for 3D printing.

What happens if I can't come? What's the refund policy?

If you register and later find out that you won't be able to make it, you can request a refund. The amount you'll receive depends on when you let us know that you need to cancel:

  • On or before March 14th, you'll receive a 100% refund.
  • March 14th to March 30th, you'll receive a 50% refund.
  • After April 1st, no refunds are available.

Is my registration transferrable?

If you're unable to make it, you may transfer your registration to another person in your organization. To do this, please use the Contact the Organizer button to send us a note with your request.

Can I bring my spouse/significant other/kids?

You’re welcome to bring anyone you like to Vail, but we won’t have room at the actual conference for anyone but you. The exception to this might the party we throw on Monday night—we'll have to see. Please arrange for members of your entourage to keep themselves busy doing something else while you’re basecamping with us. There's lots to do in Vail.

Internet?

Most definitely. If you have a laptop, please go ahead and bring it. This venue promises to have the fastest and most reliable interwebs connection of any we've ever had. (Except the Googleplex, of course.)

Meals?

We’ll provide lunch and dinner on Monday; breakfast and lunch on Tuesday; and breakfast and lunch on Wednesday. The only meal where you'll be on your own is dinner on Tuesday, when you'll be free to eat wherever (and with whomever) you like. The restaurant scene is hopping in Vail.
