Sketchnotes, Infographics and Graphic Facilitation: Advanced Edition!
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, United States
Sketchnotes are a visual form of note-taking that can include drawings, various lettering sizes and styles, color, icons, arrows, boxes and more — whatever works for you. And the best part is that you don’t have to be a creative genius to do it. It’s called Sketchnoting, not Art School!
This class is meant for people with a visual arts background, or for participants that have taken the beginner skechnoting class. We will be listening to RadioLab WNYC as our source material for sketchnote practice.
Through this class, you will experience:
- Hows and whys of sketchnotes
- See what's being said with humor
- Loosening up and laying it out
- Hands on practice
- How to triage a conversation
- Balancing words and pictures
- Cleaning and refining your sketchnotes
- Producing a finished product
What do you need to bring besides your awesome self?
- Sketchbook [preferably 8x11]
- Pencils [mechanical suggested, but not required]
- Eraser [white gum]
- Alexis will be bringing the charcoal, newsprint paper, reams of printer paper and crayons.
As in all pariSoma CoLearning classes, snacks and beverages will be provided!
Read what former pariSoma CoLearning class participants saying about Alexis' teaching:
"Very welcoming, safe space to show silly drawings. Humorous!"

"Learned a lot in a relaxed environment"
"Very easygoing yet I learned a bunch!"
