Event description

Description

This 45 minute talk will include an overview of the ins and outs of a career in User Experience Design, the best practices and tools for getting hired by the best in the field, and my own perspective on forging a path toward a (perfect) world where design and technology hold the hands of users. This talk is open to anyone looking to become a UX Designer, current designers looking to expand their skillset, or just anyone who is interested in putting real users in front of new technologies. We will finish with a question & answer for ~15 minutes.

About the speaker: Carlisle Sargent is a UX Designer at Lucid. Her past experience includes Senior UX Designer at Forum One, in Washington, D.C. and Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Goat Rodeo, also based out of Washington, D.C. She taught under graduate courses about UX Design at Clemson University.
