. . . . . . . .

Brady Evans is an illustrator and comic artist born, raised, and working in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. With a strong interest in manga and other forms of sequential imagery and storytelling, Evans' work is often narrative and explores themes that include death, humor, and our place in the natural and supernatural worlds. In 2013-2014 Evans curated the exhibition "Crossing Cultures: The Art of Manga in Hawaii" which showcased the art of twelve Hawaii-based comic artists and writers whose work was influenced by Japanese comics and culture. He received a BFA specializing in drawing from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2012 and is a recipient of the Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts Recognition Award in 2015.

A statewide non-profit organization, Historic Hawai‘i Foundation encourages the preservation of historic buildings, sites and communities significant to the history of Hawai‘i. Founded in 1974 by concerned citizens who saw the need to protect the Islands’ historic and cultural legacy, Historic Hawai‘i Foundation has become the driving force of preservation through its core strategies of education, advocacy and assistance. Through partnerships with public, private and non-profit organizations, HHF works to preserve the essential character of Hawai‘i.
