Event description

Description

Discover how sketching can support deep thinking and expand our understanding by making learning visible. Taught by artist and educator David Sturtevant, this workshop will demonstrate how drawing can be an effective method of slowing down, looking closely, and exploring complexity. Using thinking routines and simple sketching prompts, participants will learn ways to help students make observations, comparisons, and connections. The program concludes with time for reflection and brainstorming ways sketching might be applied in different contexts. No drawing experience is needed and all materials are provided.
