“All that music and dance history blends seamlessly, couples dancing classic salsa moves, others do the cha cha cha, some managing to dance the merengue to everything, and some just free-styling it. It must be the most joyously cosmopolitan dance floor in all of Southern California.”—Glendale News-Press

Dance the night away with L.A.’s best salsa and Latin fusion bands at the Autry’s popular summer series. The outdoor parties include free lessons with an instructor, access to museum galleries, a separate children’s dance floor, and more. Tacos, margaritas, and other light refreshments are available for purchase from Crossroads West.

Angelo Pagán is a versatile Latin entertainer and singer at the helm of a seasoned salsa band.

August 1 | Yari Moré Latin Band
Yari Moré Latin Band plays the best of Latin music styles: Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Boleros, Cha-cha, original songs, top 40's and more.

August 8 | Colombian Latin Soul
Colombian Latin Soul is a world-class musical group created to entertain, cheer and enliven the masses with a varied Latin and international repertoire.

August 15 | Son Mayor
Orquesta Son Mayor is a three-decade old ensemble lead by four Mexican-American brothers from Los Angeles, featuring a classic salsa sound.

August 22 | Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca
Ricardo Lemvo blends Afro-Cuban rhythms with pan-African styles, embodying the Afro-Latin diaspora through his innovative music.




Event Policies

Not permitted in the museum or plaza: Coolers, chairs, pets, bikes, outside drinks.

Picnicking on the Autry Lawn is allowed.
