Sizing up the Housing Market of 2013 – What’s Next?
Free 3 Hour CE!
Duluth 1:30pm - 4:30pm
"Homeownership produces powerful economic, social, and civic benefits that serve the individual homeowner, the larger community, and the nation."
Previous news headlines of 2013 were; “Unemployment and Jobs”, “Mortgage Defaults and Foreclosure Prevention”, “Low Housing Inventory”, “Mortgage Rates Increasing” “Quality Control” and so many others.
Well… that was then and this is now. Things are much better in today’s housing market. Home prices are inching up. Sales are rebounding. And while foreclosure is still a problem, it’s much less of a problem than it was in early 2009. There’s a lot of positive news about housing all over the United States.
And you might have noticed the voices questioning homeownership? They’re pretty quiet these days. All it took is a return to “normal.” And right now, we’re moving toward a normal, healthy real estate market. A market that appears to be stronger and more sustainable than it was a few years ago and one that will get even stronger over time.
Many economists believe housing will be one of the main economic drivers next year as prices rise, more homes are sold and builders break ground on new projects.
So as we wrap up our look back over this year of real estate, I want leave you with a big look forward as well. Join me on November 20th. Hurry to register, as seating is limited. Let' talk about:
- Housing values are up
- Appraisal issues still confusing
- Short sale update
- 2014 – New rules and regulations in the mortgage arena
- New terms for next year, “cost of ownership”, “cost of lifestyle”, ability-to-pay, quality control, energy efficiency
- Update on the new real estate asset class “REO-to-Lease”
- Where are our sellers and buyers?
