Event Details

Dear Parents,

The Brothers’ Fun Camp is an all-male two-week summer camp experience designed to enhance and support the growth and development of African American males who are rising 6th to 12th graders. Supporting our young men with activities that challenge them academically, spiritually, and emotionally the camp selects academic Instructors that are certified teachers. These teachers are willing and able to help our young men improve their potential for academic success by exposing them to material they may encounter. The Brothers’ Fun Camp also seeks and encourages support and involvement from many members of our community. The campers will have opportunities to hear the personal stories of successful and respected entrepreneurs, counselors, scientists, and other role models. Parental involvement is encouraged and is gratefully accepted because it is an essential component for the camp’s success.  Most importantly, Heritage Fellowship Church believes and supports campers to freely explore and develop their faith and spiritual armor with the guidance of professional clergy and lay members.

We know that our young males need this support during at this period of their lives to equip them with the principals necessary to become stars and upstanding members of the community. The church recognizes that this is a “need” in our community and is soliciting your support.

Six years ago this camp was provided for six (6) young men in the homes of two involved parents. The parents found that providing a place for young men to freely express their thoughts and dreams, allowed them to bond and made a difference in the boys’ attitudes when they returned to school. Many teachers noticed a difference in them and the young men expressed a desire to come back the next year.

We (Heritage Fellowship Church) are striving to provide this camp for as many as 50 young men again this year. We are keeping tuition low in order to provide a wide range of families with the opportunity to send their sons for a fun filled, academically enriched, and spiritual experience. Many blessings………………..
