SYMPOSIUM ON ENERGY IN THE 21st CENTURY


OCTOBER 26, 2020

    The award winning Symposium on Energy in the 21st Century each year explores the most current topics dealing with the future of renewable energy, and is recognized as one of the most important yearly conferences on renewable energy in New York and the Northeast. The speakers are cutting edge national and statewide experts. This is the Sixteenth Annual Symposium which generally takes place in April, and is being brought to you virtually on October 26, 2020. We expect over 400 people to attend.

     Rhea Jezer is President of Energy21 and Director of the Annual Symposium on Energy in the 21st Century. The Symposium is in its 16th year and is noted as the most important renewable energy conference in the Northeast. Held in East Syracuse, the Symposium consistently draws up to 400 people from all of New York State as well as from several other states. Speakers are national and international. 

      Rhea is a noted environmental consultant and policy advisor to eco-businesses, candidates, environmental groups and elected officials for both major parties. 

      Among the many awards accepted are the Post Standard Achievement Award "making Central New York a better place", Greening USA “Greening our Community Advocacy Award", NAACP Humanitarian Award, National Organization of Women "Woman of Power" Award, Congressional Fellowship in Women & Public Policy, InterFaith Works Leadership Award "bringing environmental education to Central New York", "Most accomplished Alumna in Science and Technology award" from Midwood H.S. Brooklyn, NY, and most recently Outstanding Service to New York State Award by Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. 

            Dr. Jezer holds a Ph.D from Syracuse University, MA from Columbia University Graduate Studies, and a BA from Brooklyn College, as well as a certificate in Gender Studies from Syracuse University.
