Site Administrators' Network (SAN) Cohort 2

Participate in the School Administrators' Network (SAN) to ensure you have up-to-date school accountability and planning information and resources, share expertise, and network with other Bay Area school leaders.

This network of school administrators will receive information and have opportunities to practice and discuss the use of resources and tools that support a deep understanding of site-level accountability, school dashboards, plan development, and "The California Way".



Instructors:


Robin Hall
Executive Director, Regional System of District & School Support, Region 4


Dr. Robin Hall has served as Executive Director of the Regional System of District & School Support, Region 4, since 2001. Prior to her leadership of R4SDSS, she was a classroom teacher for twenty years, worked as a site and district-level administrator, and provided accountability and categorical program guidance and assistance at the county office level.  She earned a M.S. in Educational Leadership at CSU East Bay, and in 2005, after completing a dissertation on the impact of publicly-funded intervention and support programs on low-performing schools, earned an Ed.D. at St. Mary’s College.


Kelly Wylie
Program Director, Regional System of District & School Support, Region 4


Kelly Wylie, Region 4 System of District and School Support Program Director, is a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience. Prior to her work at R4SDSS, Kelly served as a middle school administrator, an instructional coach and a classroom teacher. She provides expert practitioner technical assistance in the areas of Professional Learning Communities, Accountability, Multi-tiered System of Supports and ESSA; having presented at national, state and local conferences.


Objectives:

  • Receive information and opportunities to practice and discuss use of resources and tools that support a deep understanding of site-level accountability/school-dashboards, plan development, and the “California Way”
  • Sharpen your skills to strategically plan and budget for measurable student success at the site-level
  • Develop a strong community through shared expertise and time to network with fellow site administrators

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
All events are held at ACOE. Parking at ACOE is free. Note: Our parking lot entrance is on Santa Clara Street.

PUBLIC TRANSIT: The closest BART station is the HAYWARD station. Several bus lines come from the BART station to the county offices. www.511.org has an accurate public transit trip planner. If you need assistance please contact us.

What can/ can't I bring to the event?

Laptops are highly recommended for all of our workshops. Many of the resources offered are digital.

Region 4, System of District and School Support

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 requires each state to establish a statewide system of intensive and sustained support and improvement for local education agencies and schools receiving Title I funding to increase opportunities for all students to meet state academic content and achievement standards. As a result, the Regional System of District and School Support (RSDSS) was established, and partners with the California Department of Education (CDE), the Comprehensive Assistance Center, and county offices of education to form the Statewide System of School Support (S4) and satisfy the requirements of NCLB. The RSDSS of Region 4 provides leadership, resources, and technical assistance to the schools, districts, and county offices of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo and Solano in order to increase their collective capacity to support students in meeting or exceeding the state's academic content standards.

Cancellation Policy: Registrations cancelled seven (7) working days or less prior to the workshop are assessed the full charge of the registration.  If the registration is cancelled eight (8) to fifteen (15) working days prior to the workshop, a fifty percent charge is assessed.  If the registration is cancelled sixteen (16) or more working days prior to the workshop, a full refund is given. ***RSDSS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule our trainings as necessary***
