The Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center's annual trivia night is here—and this year it's virtual!

About this Event

15 years ago when we had our first trivia fundraiser, we never thought we would be planning a virtual event! We wish we could see everybody in person, but we are so excited to connect safely with everybody for our most fun event of the year!

Start 2021 off with the Sister of Saint Joseph Welcome Center on Friday, January 8th at 7:00 pm for our annual trivia night!

The event will include:

  • Five rounds of trivia hosted by McM Entertainment. Each round of trivia will be self-scored. We will be playing on the honors system! At the end of all five rounds, scores will be submitted online. (If you are playing on a team with people in different households, one person will submit scores for the team.) Winners will be announced at the Post-Trivia Zoom Reception
  • 50/50 Raffle. 1 ticket is $5. Tickets can be purchased with event registration and until 7:15 pm on the night of the event. Winners will be announced at the Post-Trivia Zoom Reception.
  • Contest for best set-up. There is no doubt that this year's event will be unlike any other, and we want to see how creative you can get! Submit a photo of your set-up for the evening here by 7:15 pm. Staff will vote and announce winners at the Post-Trivia Zoom Reception!
  • Post-Trivia Zoom Reception. While we love some competitive trivia, our favorite part about this evening is getting to see all of our wonderful friends! We will host a Zoom reception after the event to connect with everyone who attended and announce winners for 50/50 Raffle, Trivia, and Best-set up! Come say hi, we would love to see you!

Registration:

  • Individual. Registration is $25 per person.
  • Teams. Registration as a team (up to 10 people) is $200. (Note: Only ONE person will need to register the team). Start thinking of some creative team names!
  • Sponsor an SSJ! If you would like to sponsor a ticket for a Sister or a whole team, please select from the "Sponsor an SSJ" tickets at checkout.

Playing on Teams

  • If you are playing on a team with people who will not be physically together...here is what you need to know!
  • One person will register the team (Payments will be worked out between team members via checks, Venmo, cash, etc.)
  • One team member will set up a phone/video call for the rest of the team to join (Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc.) All team members will log-on to the team call and the Live Trivia Event at the same time (We recommend a few minutes before 7:00 pm incase of any technical difficulties)
  • If you have more than one device, we recommend having the Live Trivia Event on one screen, and the team call on the other. If you have only one device, you can switch back and forth between tabs during the event.
  • All team members will mute themselves while the questions are being read. We recommend each person/household writing down their answers.
  • At the end of each round, there will be two minutes when team members can unmute themselves, discuss and finalize answers with their team. One person will keep track of the official answers and be responsible for submitting scores at the end of all five rounds.

What you will need for the event:

  • Computer/tablet.The event will be streaming on Vimeo and scores will be submitted online. Links will be sent to the email used to register during the week of the event. We suggest logging on a few minutes before the event so we can start at 7:00 pm.
  • Pen/pencil and paper to self-score each round. One person from each team will submit answers at the end of all five rounds.
  • An additional computer/tablet to connect with your team members over a phone/video call.
  • Drinks, Dinner, Desserts. Whatever you want to make the night feel like a fun evening out!

All ticket sales will end on Monday, January 4 at 11:59 pm. Links to the Trivia Live Stream and Post-Trivia Zoom Reception will be sent to the email used to register the week before the event.
