Event Details

On November 10-11, 2012, there will be a special event in Los Angeles, calling all Americans who are interested in starting a new, non-violent political conversation. If you're concerned about the over-influence of moneyed interests on American democracy as well as the underrepresentation of women in our political leadership; if you have a transformational view of the world; if you are a woman who would consider running for office yourself, or a man or woman who could see yourself involved in a woman's campaign -- please join Marianne Williamson and others for a revolutionary weekend. We will create the blueprint for a new Movement in American politics, unabashedly spiritual and unapologetically progressive, by which we help right the teetering ship of American democracy.

The US Congress is composed of 16.8 percent women. Our State legislatures are composed of  23.6 percent women.

American women, we have a job to do...
and we can only do it if we do it together

Day 1 ~ November 10, 2012, 10AM - 6PM; 7:30PM - 10PM

Our focus on Day 1 will be on issues, both personal and political.

On the personal side, we will discuss the emotional and psychological issues that keep women from expressing ours full power in the public domain.

Politically, we will discuss some pressing issues now calling us to act:

1. At a rate of 23.1%, child poverty in the United States ranks second highest among 35 developed nations (second only to Romania);

2. The US currently incarcerates more of our people than any nation in the world or any nation in history;

3. Without a Constitutional Amendment to override the effects of the Supreme Court decision "Citizens United," money will continue to weild devastatingly undue influence on American politics.

Day 2 ~ November 11, 2012, 10AM - 6PM

Day 2 will be a special day-long training by leaders of the The Women's Campaign School at Yale University. This is an incredible opportunity for attendees to learn the fascinating ins and outs of running a political campaign.

This amazing event will take place four days after the Presidential election

                           No matter who wins, we'll need to talk....
