Never before have small teams of motivated individuals had access to the resources and tools of innovation of today. We live in a world full of exponentially accelerating technologies like synthetic biology, artificial intelligence, robotics and others. We can now point to dozens of companies that have touched the lives of billions, and now it’s time for our Graduate Studies 2012 students to do the same.
This summer 80 amazing students, from 36 countries around the planet, all gathered at NASA Research Park to hear lectures from world experts on the frontiers of disruptive innovation. During Global Grand Challenge week, students took a deep dive into the world of our most pressing needs in problem spaces like poverty, global health, and clean water. Students have been selected into their 10^9th+ Team Projects, and are now tasked with positively impacting the lives of 1 billion people within the decade.
Our Keynote Speaker, Beth Comstock, is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at GE. Other presentations by Co-Founder Peter Diamandis, CEO Rob Nail, GSP'12 Director David Roberts, a select few Student Team Projects, and Special Suprise Guest.
