Description

This half day workshop is designed exclusively for all responsible for maintaining Single Central Records in education settings.


Learners will:

  • Understand why the SCR is kept, and its role in safer recruitment

  • Review the statutory requirements and best practice in developing and updating the SCR

  • Cover who and what to include and the format of the SCR

  • Explore mandatory and non-mandatory options

  • Gain a sound understanding of pre-employment checks for school based staff, volunteers, contractors and agency workers, as well as what information needs to be kept

  • Share best practice and review their own processes and SCRs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The nearest train station is approximately 3.5 miles away and the venue is also on a local bus route, however anybody travelling by public transport is urged to double check travel times before booking. For those arriving by car, ample free street parking is available at the venue.
